Cancellation Policy

We are committed to serving you and realize sometimes plans change. In the event of a cancellation our goal is to refund back to our customers and clients as much as possible without incurring a financial loss.

The following cancellation policy applies to all private tour bookings:

  1. This section includes only tours on land. For private tours that include boat and helicopter see below.
  2. Cancellations must be made over the phone with a live Romancing Manhattan Tours representative.
  3. Cancellations made with a minimum of 72 hours notice: 3% fee to cover the costs of the credit card processing.
  4. Cancellations made with between 72 hours and 24 hours notice: 50% charge. 
  5. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice: non-refundable. 

The following cancellation policy applies to the Land, Air & Sea New York tour: 

  1. Cancellations must be made over the phone with a live Romancing Manhattan Tours representative.
  2. Cancellations made with a minimum of 10 day’s notice: $500 cancellation fee.
  3. Cancellations made between 10 days and 72 hours in advance of your tour: 30% cancellation fee. 
  4. Cancellations made with less than 72 hours notice: no refund. 

The following cancellation policy applies to all multi-day bookings:

  1. All cancellations will have a minimum cancellation charge of 3% to cover credit card processing costs.
  2. Cancellations must be made over the phone with a live Romancing Manhattan Tours representative.
  3. In addition to the 3% minimum cancellation charge stated above, there will be an additional cancellation fee of between 0% and 10% of your total package cost depending on the amount of time and effort spent by our staff on your trip. This is determined on a case-by-case basis with the goal of refunding back to you as much as possible.
  4. The refund policy for the various items in your package are as follows:
  • Hotels: refunds will be applied according to your hotels cancellation policy at the time of booking.
  • Theater, sporting event and other event tickets: non-refundable.
  • Restaurants: 100% refundable with a minimum of 24 hours notice, after which it is non-refundable.
  • Transportation: 100% refundable with a minimum of 12 hours notice, after which it is non-refundable.
  • Private tours: 100% refundable with a minimum of 72 hours notice; 50% refundable between 72 hours and 24 hours notice; non-refundable with less than 24 hours notice.
  • Sightseeing & tickets for admission (ie Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, museums, etc): non-refundable.
  • Dinner/brunch/lunch cruises: non-refundable.
  • Spas: refunds will be applied according to your spas cancellation policy at the time of booking.
  • Other: refunds for items in your package not mentioned above will be handled on a case-by-case basis with the goal of refunding back to you as much as possible.
